Hey, babe, we have some troubling news. Just like money doesn’t grow on trees, customers don’t fall from the sky. The horror! You have to catch the attention of potential clients with a banging lash extension marketing strategy.

We know! It’s an extra step, but luckily, marketing your business can be fun. And with the help of your, ahem, favorite lash professionals it should be an easy task. We’ve got your back — keep reading.

Eyelash Extension Marketing Tips and Tricks

Focus Your Marketing Campaign

Babe, we like to think that we can do it all, and we can! But when it comes to your marketing campaign, it may be beneficial to focus on a few key elements so you do a few things fabulously instead of everything mediocrely.

What does that mean?

If you’re just getting your business off the ground, you might not yet have the budget for a massive print media campaign. In that case, you could do well by focusing your marketing on social media posts, getting your name out there in the community by using relevant keywords. Of course, you could also decide to print some brochures and hand them out to passers-by to introduce yourself both to new customers and other businesses!

You have options! Just don’t try to do them all at once.

Take Advantage of the Internet

Now, before picking up some outdated marketing tell-all book, it’s worth remembering that in the digital age, what constitutes effective “marketing materials” is just a liiiittle different from the past.

Print ads, brochures, and flyers may have done the job a few years ago. Nowadays, social media posts, email marketing, digital ads, and SEO all play an outsized role. People spend so much time online that a marketing strategy that doesn’t try to reach them on the web is likely doomed to failure. That won’t be you, though, right? Nope!

Don’t get discouraged! We love a handy and shareable aftercare card. Just make sure you’re also including marketing materials that consider online users.

Build Trust

You’re asking your clients a lot to trust you near their peepers. Trust takes time to build, and it starts with your marketing materials.

Your eyelash extension marketing materials should reflect reality. It’s one thing to include touched-up photos in your marketing materials, but another to post or share things that are false about your facilities or services. Let your before and after lash extension photos speak for themselves. No need for deceptive editing.

Don’t overpromise and underdeliver! Just be your honest, authentic, lash-loving self in your eyelash extension marketing materials to make a good first impression.

Personalize Your Marketing Materials

The most important thing to remember when creating eyelash extension marketing materials for print, digital, or social media is to make sure they’re engaging, shareable, and reflect your brand.

Include your logo (if you don’t have one, make one!), a catchy slogan or tagline (Don’t have one? Write one!), and of course, your contact information (address, phone number, e-mail, Facebook and Instagram profiles, and so on).

Likewise, make sure your brand is cohesive across all marketing materials. If you have a fun brand persona, let that shine, from your eyelash extension Instagram account to your print brochures. If you want to reflect a more serious tone, maybe opt out of GIFs and memes on your materials. Understand your brand, and do what’s right for your brand.

Eyelash Extension Marketing Materials Samples and Templates

Don’t think we left you hanging. We have some free (yes, free) eyelash extension marketing templates and materials for you to consider.

  • Postermywall has hundreds of eyelash extension marketing templates. Download a template that speaks to you or draw inspiration.
  • Word of mouth referrals might be the best marketing tool. Give your clients something to talk about and share with potential clients with a beautiful aftercare card.
  • This eyelash extension marketing material isn’t necessarily free to you, but it could be free to your clients. Free lash swag is an unexpected gift at the end of an appointment that also serves as a way to get your brand in the community.

These are just a few ideas to get you started! Feel free to make any of these eyelash extension marketing material suggestions your own, and start raking in those clients.

How to Attract Clients to Your Lash Salon & Grow Your Business The Lash Professional

How to Attract Clients to Your Lash Salon & Grow Your Business

5 Ways to Attract Lash Extension Clientele

June 19, 2017 by The Lash Professional.

The most important part of growing a successful lash business, is building and maintaining a loyal clientele.

Eyelash extensions is a service that need to be maintained regularly, in order to have a successful lash business, it is very important to do what you can to keep your clients happy and loyal. Happy clients are also a great source of advertising, because if they love your work (and you) they will tell everyone they know, sending more clients your way, which is the best type of advertising, because its FREE!

Here are a couple of tips for creating a great customer experience for your lash business:

1. Create a comforting and welcoming environment.

The client’s experience begins the second that they walk through the door. Therefore, make their first impression a good one! (Greet them with a friendly face and tone. Have an aesthetically pleasing environment. Play calming and soothing music.)

Make sure that your work station is clean and organized, that your lash bed is comfortable and cozy, and that the temperature of the room is set appropriately. (We suggest having additional blankets on hand during the colder months, so clients can get cozy, relax and even doze off if desired.

2. Try to read your client’s energy and adapt accordingly.

While it’s crucial to be super friendly and professional with every client, it’s also important to read your client’s energy and to pick up cues to the experience they are looking for.

Are they super chatty and want to get to know you, or talk about their day?

Either way, remember to be both professional and kind. You want your client to feel comfortable, safe and taken care of.

3. Keep your clients well-informed.

If this is your client’s first experience with extensions, explain the natural lash shedding cycle, aftercare and upkeep. This is not only so they know how to best care for their lashes after their appointment, but also so they have reasonable expectations for the retention of their extensions. (We recommend giving a handout to first time clients with instructions for aftercare, as something they can reference later if they have questions.)

Send your clients home with their own spoolie brush (or mascara wand) for combing through their lashes to keep them laying straight, fanned out, and looking their best.

4. Get to know your client.

Inquire as to why they are getting extensions. Are they getting married? Maybe going on a vacation? Or are they simply getting lashes to make their morning routine easier?

This also gives you an opportunity to give them more specific tips for aftercare and retention. (Examples: How to keep your lashes looking best when on vacation, or when getting professional wedding makeup done.)

If you do end up chatting with your client throughout their appointment, try to remember a few key details about them & something you may have talked about.

If needed, make a few notes in their file, so you have something to refer back to. This not only shows that you were paying attention, but also that you care to get to know them.

Be professional, but friendly. You want your clients to look forward to their appointments with you, not only because if the great work that you do, but also because they enjoy their time spent with you.

5. Go the extra mile.

Did your client have an abnormal amount of fall out, or possibly go through a shedding cycle? Did they just have their wedding, or come back from vacation, with their lashes slightly more out-of-sorts than usual? If so, spend a little extra “courtesy lashing time” on them.

Spending even just an extra 15-30min, free of charge, to get their lashes back to full and fabulous, shows not only that you take pride in what you do, but also that you care about them looking and feeling their absolute best.

**Yes, we agree that your time is valuable, and if the same client is coming in with mass-shedding issues every time, you may need to spend some time talking with them about possible causes for the extra fall out, or you can start booking out longer appointments for them, or even have them come in to see you more often. But, if its a rare occasion, and you do have the time, hook them up! They will be forever grateful!

Being a little flexible on your working hours is another way that you can go the extra mile for your client. On occasion, being willing to stay late or come in early for a client that needs a last minute appointment, or to get in before a trip or special event, shows that you care.

Clients will become loyal fans of yours, not only because you do good work, but also because they feel well taken care of, and that you have their best interest in mind. Nothing is more valuable for your lash business than client references. If your client has a good experience, they will share it with the people closest to them. If they have a great experience, they will shout it out over the rooftops for everyone to hear. Give your client a reason to rave about you, and watch your clientele grow!!

HAPPY LASHING!!

How to use Social Media to Grow your Lash Business

How to use Social Media to Grow your Lash Business

How to use Social Media to Grow your Lash Business

October 2, 2017 by The Lash Professional.

I recently told one of my employees "Instagram is the new Yelp". I told her this in hopes to stress the importance of using social media as a platform for getting her name out there, and showing others her beautiful work.

After all, lets be real. We are all, at least a little bit, addicted to our phones; especially to checking social media sites. It's become a normal part of our routine to "login" and see what our friends and acquaintances are up to, and find out what's new and current in the outside world. And the majority of us, do this not only first thing in the morning, but also periodically throughout our day. We are a visually stimulated generation, that collects information and stimuli through pictures and posts made by others. Why not use this to your advantage to grow your lash business?

Although Yelp and Instagram are different forums that are set up to serve different purposes for the general public, I do believe that they share many similarities as well. Both sites are commonly used by perspective clients who are searching the web in order to find pictures and reviews of the services that we all have to offer. However, the upside of Facebook and Instagram (over Yelp) is that people login those sites daily, simply just to flip through and stay current on news, media and trends.

These days, everyone is using social media as a platform to get their name or brand out there. Here are a few tips that we have come up with to getting more followers and growing your fan base, which in turn, grows your lash business.

1) Color Scheme - In order to make your lashing Instagram aesthetically pleasing, make sure that all of your photos follow a similar theme. This does not mean that you have to use the same filter for all pictures, but choosing a style or color scheme that shows up regularly throughout your posts, will help your pictures flow from post to post. If you have an angle or style that you like to take the pictures from, stay consistent. Having a consistent theme or style will help our followers recognize your pictures and lash artwork. This is one way that you create your lashing "brand" for yourself and your business.

2) What to post? - We suggest posting pictures of your best work. Only your best. Post pictures that also reflect your unique personality. In lash pictures, include details under the picture about the lashes you used. Are they classic, volume or mixed? What curl(s), lengths and diameter(s) did you use? Was this client a full set or fill? Before and after shots are great too. This way potential new clients can not only get a taste of your talent and style, but also get an idea of what kind of look they like, and would want when they come in for lashes.

3) How often to post? - Marketing books suggest posting one AMAZING photo a day. Not too hard right? In order to keep up with this, we suggest constantly taking photos of your lash work, so that you have a stock-pile of lash photos to choose from when you need to post. Have no new lash pics? Post something that reflects your unique personality. Find an inspirational quote that you like, or think your followers may be able to relate to. Include a few personal pictures that still follow your "theme" or color scheme. Pictures of retail that you sell, or lash products that you love, are always good options as well. Anything (whether its lash related or not) that's appropriate, and shows your personality as a lash artist. Have fun with it!

4) Use "Hashtags" and make your business page Public - Even though using #s after your picture can seem a little silly or corny,  this is how new followers (potential new clients) find you, and your page. Therefore, use hashtags with code words such as the type of lashes you used, and the city that you are located in. Code words that will help new clients find you. Keeping your page public allows new followers to find and add you, and also share your page with others. (*It is important to use separate Instagram and Facebook pages for your lash business, than using your own personal pages. Keep your lash business page 100 percent professional, and mostly lash/work related.) In addition to this, following other lash brands will keep you current on what other lash artists are doing, and will also help their followers find you.

Using social media as a form of advertisement is the cheapest, quickest and overall easiest form of marketing available to you. It takes just minutes, reaches a wide variety of perspective followers (ie futures clients), and is 100% FREE! Whats better than that?!

Happy Lashing!

Instagram Tips: Likes and Followers

Instagram Tips: Likes and Followers

Instagram Tips: Likes and Followers

January 2, 2018 by The Lash Professional.

As lash artists, we all know the importance of social media to our businesses. Not just being on social media, but staying relevant and engaging with our followers, such as liking their aesthetically pleasing photos on your feed. Yes, I am talking about the oh-so-fabulous Instagram.

Using Instagram is a great way to gain visibility and new clientele as a lash artist. Today we’re going to talk about Instagram bios for lash artists, lash captions for Instagram, and using hashtags to boost your likes and follower count. Read on to learn our best tips and advice on running a successful lash artist Instagram account.

Let’s get into it!

Instagram Bios for Lash Artists

What’s one of the first things someone sees when they visit your Instagram profile? Your bio, of course.

The basics to a bomb Instagram bio for lash artists are:

  1. Certification. Listing that you are a certified lash tech shows visitors you are a professional and can give them the stunning lashes they are dying to have!
  2. Location. Including your location is a no-brainer, right? People need to know if your services are available in their area.
  3. Link to Booking Website. Don’t forget to link to whatever website you use for clients to book appointments with you! This is uber important and should always be a part of your bio.

Stick with these basics, and you’re sure to wow potential clients with your Instagram bio!

So, what are some examples of great Instagram bios for lash artists? We’re going to share three different lash babes’ bios to inspire you!

This lash pro has an awesome lash tech Instagram bio with all the information clients need. She includes that she is certified, her location, what type of lashes she does, what days she takes clients, and most importantly, a link to book an appointment.

This is another fantastic example of an Instagram bio for lash artists! Adriana shares with her followers that she is twice certified, located in Sacramento, and includes a link to book an appointment. Even more, she uses Instagram’s highlight feature to give followers more information about eyelash extensions. Ladies, it’s free — use Instagram highlights to your advantage!

Lash Lamour has a solid Instagram bio for lash artists as well. She lets visitors know she is a certified lash artist in Memphis, requires a deposit through Cashapp, and gives the link for booking appointments.

Keep Things Fresh

We post pictures surrounding eyelash extensions, The Lash Professional products, and photos of clients all year-round. As much as our followers love to see these kinds of pictures, it’s essential to switch it up once in a while! To keep things fresh, post a picture of that super cute lash drawing your kiddo made you or share a pic of your client who came in with her cat.

The idea is to engage your followers, so post some things that will either: one, make them laugh/smile; or two, make them think, “I should do that too!”. Those reactions will 90% of the time result in a like!

Keeping your lash captions for Instagram varied is also super important. Mix it up with lash extension quotes, personal notes, and calls to action.

Use Hashtags

Try hashtagging things like #lashes or #lashlove. Instagram users searching these tags want to see things related to them! Hashtags aren’t the enemy… they can actually be super beneficial to growing your lash tech Instagram. Pick a few relevant lash hashtags (5 to 10 is best) for each post and hide them in your caption!

How do you hide your lash hashtags? It's simple. Type out your caption in a notes app first, making sure to add extra space between the lash captions and hashtags. Or you can just post them in a comment!

Be Relatable and Fun

Okay, so this is the most important tip and one I cannot stress enough! Followers want to see posts that they can relate to. That can mean family posts to show them that you are a real human being or a post of you drinking coffee or online shopping during a crazy Christmas season. But, of course, all while still properly placing lash products or images to keep it lash related because, let's face it, no one wants to see a picture of your dog unless it has fake lashes!

Keeping your Instagram relatable will not only result in more genuine likes on your posts but more organic followers! Being relatable is so important year-round, but take advantage of the opportunities you are given on a day-to-day basis. Today is the best day to start!

If you haven’t started your lash business Instagram yet and are still in the process of researching, we have a handy lash business course you should check out. We just know you’re going to love becoming a certified lash artist!

Now I can’t promise you will become Instagram famous from these Instagram tips. Unfortunately, Instagram’s algorithm makes doing that nearly impossible these days. However, these Instagram bios for lash artists, lash captions, and other tips can help you boost your likes and hopefully help you gain some organic followers too!

Boast your new products from The Lash Professional, flaunt your latest client’s glamorous lash extensions, and enjoy the new following you gain along the way!

How to Take Good Eyelash Pictures for Social Media The Lash Professional

How to Take Good Eyelash Pictures for Social Media

How to Take Good Eyelash Pictures for Social Media

January 15, 2018 by The Lash Professional.

Marketing your business isn’t easy, but these days we are given a few tools to make it easier. Tools such as Yelp, business cards/flyers, and Instagram! Yes, we are going to talk about Instagram; how to take good eyelash pictures for Instagram, that is! How is this relevant you ask? Well keep reading to find out how your pictures alone can boost your Instagram success!

There are three things that you will want to remember before posting anything to your Instagram.

1. Quality

Image quality is the first, and most important, thing to look for in a picture. If you don’t have a quality image, you don’t have an image at all. What do I mean when I say image quality? I mean good lighting and good focus (and if you can manage, a good camera, however, iPhones these days do the job darn good!). Some key things to look for to help you determine if the photo has optimized good lighting and good focus are whether the photo appears grainy and pixelated and/or blurry.

If the photo looks grainy, do not assume it is just your camera. A grainy or pixelated photo means you took the photo in poor lighting. It means the camera could only pick up on minimal detail due to not being able to “see” the rest of the fine details. An easy fix is to move your client to an area that has a lot of natural light. Natural light is your best recourse for good quality photos. Your next option, if natural light is not an option, is to move to an area that has bright lights – avoiding fluorescents. DO NOT use your camera flash when taking lash pictures. Using your cameras flash casts shadows and glares and all kind of illusions that you won’t want to post on Instagram.

If the photo you have taken looks blurry, do not assume it is just your camera- though sometimes it is. A blurry photo means your camera was out of focus. Play with your camera or phone settings and see if there is a macro setting! If you aren’t sure what “macro” photography is, here is a snip from an article posted on the Digital Photography School website in regard to the origin of macro photography.

“…the term micro referred to a film image that was larger than 1:1 life size; micro photography could easily give you a 35mm film image of an ant that was itself larger than the original ant.”

Read more on macro photography here! By selecting some form of “macro” setting on your device (phone or camera) and optimizing your best light resource, you will notice a huge difference in what I referred to as image quality! Your followers will notice a difference too.

2. Color

Image color is next. What do I mean by image color? Yes, lighting is important but what I am referring to is your surrounding. What is surrounding your client when you take the photos? You will want to create a cohesive Instagram feed and the best way to do this is to use similar colors in all of your photos! Marianna Hewitt explains this concept further in her blog by saying,

“…when you first click on a new profile, what you immediately see is an overall feed- so if this is visually appealing, more likely you’ll hit follow on a new account.”

How true is that? If something is aesthetically pleasing, you will want to see more of it, which means CLICK, follow!

3. Consistency

The last but as equally important aspect of taking good eyelash pictures is to keep it consistent! Consistency is key, seriously. If someone follows you after seeing an awesome photo you’ve posted, you want to continue to give them awesome photos, right?! The best way to do this is to keep consistent image quality, to keep consistent color on your feed, and keep your posting frequency consistent! If you post once a day, be consistent with that; if you post a quote every 3 photos, be consistent with that! But most importantly, if you are taking an eyelash extension picture for Instagram, keep your style consistent. The Lash Professional’s partnered salon, The Lash and Sugar Company is a perfect example of consistent eyelash posts, as you can see in the photo.

If you are struggling with how to take good eyelash pictures for Instagram, refer to those three things; quality, color, and consistency! And if you are interested in The Lash Professionals Salon Partnership Program, let us know! By partnering with The Lash Professional, your salon will receive amazing discounts, exclusive products, and - of course - social media/instagram recognition!

Lash Extension Marketing Ideas to Get More Clients The Lash Professional

Lash Extension Marketing Ideas to Get More Clients

Lash Extension Marketing Ideas to Get More Clients

April 16, 2018 by The Lash Professional.

Marketing is an overwhelming concept that has the ability to draw in clientele or leave potential clients searching for a new lash artist. But what is marketing, really?

Marketing is the process in which you advertise your services to educate current customers and potential customers on why they should choose you over your competitors. Learning to master marketing can be incredibly beneficial. Keep reading for some lash extension advertising and marketing ideas to get more clients!

Being in the beauty industry for so long has given me the opportunity to see how marketing has evolved over the years. But through the evolution of marketing, the end goal has always stayed the same — get more clients! There are so many effective ways to do this without becoming that crazy person hammering their prices into everyone’s face (yes, we all have at least one of those crazies on Facebook). Being over-aggressive about your business or service will likely have the opposite effect of what you want.

No matter how you choose to market, remember this: The goal is to educate clients on your service and yourself. From there, the client has to decide if your lash skills are a good match for their lash needs.

Traditional Marketing Tactics to Adopt

Many people are quick to turn their nose up at traditional tactics, which is what makes them so valuable. Not everyone is utilizing them! There is a reason, though, that they are still around. Traditional marketing tactics are effective. Below are a few of our favorite eyelash extension advertisement and marketing ideas to grow your clientele.

Create a client referral program

Yes, this works! Referral programs generate the best form of marketing — word-of-mouth! Give your clients an incentive to share their experience at your salon. Offer something like an eyelash extension promotion of 15% off their next service when a new client mentions their name. People are more likely to use a service or product if it was recommended to them by a trusted source, such as their BFF! It will go a long way with clients and potential clients.

Build partnerships

Building partnerships with other local business owners and cross-promoting each other’s services is huge, especially in the beauty industry. I once did a trade (meaning an exchange of services as opposed to payment) with a local hairstylist. We shared business cards and since have been referring clients to one another. Our partnership has been an effective form of eyelash extension advertisement that has led to new lash clients!

Consider a direct mailing campaign

This technique might seem incredibly outdated, but it puts your business’ name directly into the hands of potential clients! Though digital marketing may seem more up-to-date, people can so easily scroll past your Instagram post, delete your email, or navigate away from your carefully curated eyelash extension ad. However, they can’t scroll away from their physical eyelash extension marketing materials! Even if they set it aside in their “Junk” mail pile, they’re more likely to remember your brand’s name the next time they’re in the market for some stunning new lash extensions.

Promote Your Hygienic Practices

You may not think promoting your hygienic safety practices is much of a marketing strategy, but in a world that was rocked by COVID-19, proper hygiene can make all the difference. Clients will feel more comfortable with a lash artist who is making a conscious effort to keep their workstations clean and use sanitized tools to create their glamorous lash looks. When promoting your business, eyelash extension advertisements that include a short snippet about how you’re keeping your studio clean can lead to an increase in business.

Offer Product Samples

When a client comes in, consider offering them product samples, such as mini eyelash extension safe mascara wands. Not only will they enjoy trying out new products from a lash professional they trust, but it may encourage them to return and invest in more products. Once they see how high quality and useful your products are, they’ll definitely want more!

Digitally Promote Your Lash Business

Put a modern twist on your marketing campaigns with digital techniques that you can take advantage of!

The benefit of promoting your lash business on the internet is the wide reach of the demographic. The internet is accessible to everyone, which means your business and information will be too! Here are a few ways to get that process started:

  • Create a Google My Business account. This is a guaranteed way to ensure your listing shows up on Google Maps! This will allow people who search “lashes” in your area to find your business.
  • Design an engaging website. Include pages for each of your products with unique and attention-grabbing descriptions. Describe your services, link to your social media platforms, and explain why your business is the one to choose. When potential clients search for eyelash extension gurus, your site is the place to be!
  • Try eyelash extension advertising on social media. Use posts and demo videos or before and after images to show off your fantastic work! I would highly suggest creating a professional page on each social network and using that as a platform for marketing. Social media is also a great place to interact with potential clients through comments, live videos, and Q&As.
  • Boost your business with online contests. Who doesn’t love winning free stuff?! Raffles and giveaway contests work best! Consider offering free product samples in your contest prizes to get clients coming back for more.
  • Start a blog! Potential clients searching for a new lash artist want a knowledgeable boss babe to create their next glamorous lash look. What better way to flaunt your skills than with a blog all about lashing? A quick Google search can lead a client right to your page and have them booking an appointment for the next week!

Using these broad suggestions, you have the freedom to be creative with social media and contests, so get to work, babes!

Unique Ways to Gain Eyelash Extension Clients

Create a way to market your business that is unique to you! This is sure to make you stand out in the lash world. Try something like hosting an event or party at your salon. Current clients will likely bring friends along to the event who will join your clientele list.

Additional unique eyelash extension promotion ideas would be to find ways to volunteer or donate your services. This is a great opportunity for PR! PR or public relations is the process of spreading awareness of an organization or business to the public. The main objective of PR is to allow potential clientele to have a positive or favorable opinion of your business. Maintaining positive PR will immediately boost your clientele, allowing you to spend more time giving your clients beautiful lashes and less time focusing on marketing strategies!

There are oh-so-many eyelash extension advertisement and marketing ideas for your business. Do tons of research on marketing and always remember: The goal is to educate clients on your service and yourself! Let your services and products do all the talking and you’ll be pulling in clients left and right.

If you are just starting your lash business, we offer an eyelash extension business course to help you build your business!

In today’s world, social media is a huge part of getting your brand out there. Facebook and Instagram easily allow you to share photos of your work and lash space. What’s even more awesome is that future clients can find you by searching relevant hashtags, from a repost or just looking through photos.

When posting on social media, be professional, but don’t forget to be personable too. Lucky for you, we have a guide to Instagram tips and tricks to help you out! Your potential clients want to see who you are, not just your lash work. Do they want to spend two hours with you? Do they want to be in your presence every two weeks?

I personally love my lash artist because not only does she do amazing lashes, I also love spending time with her. So, show that amazing personality that makes you, you! Share lash-related posts, quotes, lash looks you’ve created, and personal achievements such as getting certified as a professional lash technician. You can use social media to grow your lash business by sharing what you do best –– lash extensions!

Social media has given lash artist’s a great way to reach potential clientele and create strong relationships with current clientele! Don’t skip this free marketing tool! Have some fun and get creative with your posts. It can be an excellent way for how to get eyelash extension clients quickly.

2. Ask for Reviews

Ask clients for reviews! Reviews can help build your lash clientele quickly. Future clients searching for a lash artist will almost always look for online reviews, especially if they don’t have any personal recommendations. Think about it. Would you buy a mascara on Amazon that had zero reviews or one with 50 glowing reviews? It’s a pretty simple choice, right?

Google and Yelp can either bring you more clients or turn potential clients away. It’s important to shine on these review platforms to build your lash clientele, so spend some time adding photos of your work and your lash space, respond publicly to reviews, and don’t be afraid to ask current clients for reviews!

Asking clients to leave reviews is one of the easiest ways to increase eyelash extension clientele. Don’t be shy. You know you’re doing great work when clients walk out looking fabulous. They surely won’t mind sparing a couple of minutes to write a quick review.

3. Offer Client Incentive

Create an incentive or referral program. Word of mouth marketing is everything and more! Oh, and it’s free. Who doesn’t like free! Most people will find their lash artist from a recommendation from a friend or family member.

“Oh my gosh, I love your lashes. Who did them?” This question is a powerful way to gain more lash clients. Some of your clients may already recommend you to their friends and family, but a referral program will up the ante!

I recommend offering your clients a discount or even a free service or product for every referral they send you. Do the best eyelash extensions that make people stop and talk about your brand, lash babe! And then, give your clients an incentive to sell you too!

4. Seek Support from Friends and Family

Ask your friends and family to help get your name out there! When thinking of how to build your lash clientele, don’t overlook the people closest to you! Family and friends are great resources for getting more eyelash extension clients.

They can help build your lash clientele by posting your work on their social media, talking about you to their friends and coworkers, and can even pass out your business cards. I promise, these people want you to succeed (so you can buy the bottle of wine at happy hour) and will help you get there, you just have to ask!

So don’t be nervous. Seek support from those you trust because I’m sure they are dying to help you grow your lash business. They might know just the person who is looking to try lash extensions and send them your way.

5. Be Prepared to Build your Lash Clientele

Be prepared with business cards and pricing. If someone compliments your lashes, give them your business card. If you overhear someone talking about lashes, give them your business card and prices. Or if you see someone with lashes, yep, you guessed it, compliment them and give them your info!

It won’t be enough to use a generic, bland design — that won’t catch their eye. Make sure your cards and price sheet stand out — give them some flair and use a cute design! Even better, you can even put a special discount for first-time clients on your business card or price sheet. If you don’t have a sheet, check out our downloadable price sheet template.
