Pregnancy Safety Considerations
Pregnancy is a particular phase in any woman's life that requires extra consideration when it comes to health and safety. Hormonal changes, increased sensitivity, and an expanding body can alter how your body responds to various substances, so it is wise to approach eyelash extensions and their adhesive with extra caution during gestation.
Are Eyelash Extension Glue Safe When Pregnant?
Is eyelash extension glue safe when pregnant? Though there is no definitive answer as to whether eyelash extension glue is entirely safe during pregnancy, pregnant women must consider various factors and consult with healthcare providers to make an informed decision.
1. Ingredient Analysis
Eyelash extension adhesive typically contains cyanoacrylate, which has been determined safe for cosmetic use by regulatory bodies. However, it's essential to examine the specific formulation used by your lash technician as certain formulations may contain additional compounds or allergens that could compromise safety. Discuss these ingredients with them as soon as possible - and consult your healthcare provider if necessary.
2. Sensitivity and Allergies
Pregnancy can increase susceptibility to various substances, increasing your chances of allergies or skin sensitivities. Pregnant women with previous allergies or skin sensitivities must conduct a patch test before getting eyelash extensions during their gestation period.
3. Proper Ventilation
Proper ventilation in lash studios is also vitally important. Adequate air circulation will dissipate fumes produced during lash extension application and limit exposure to potentially irritating or hazardous compounds in an adhesive.
4. Arranging The position Before Application
Eyelash extensions can be a long and tiring process that may require you to lie on your back for several hours, which may become increasingly uncomfortable as pregnancy progresses. Be sure to communicate your needs to your technician, as well as consider bringing pillows or cushions along to enhance comfort during this experience.
5. Consult With Healthcare Professional
Before seeking eyelash extensions during pregnancy, it's best to speak to an obstetrician or healthcare provider. They will offer change guidance based on your medical history, stage of gestation, and any specific health concerns you may have.
Precautions and Tips for Receiving Eyelash Extensions during Pregnancy
Is eyelash extension glue safe when pregnant, if you decide to get eyelash extensions while pregnant, follow these precautions and tips for as secure an experience as possible:
Before your entire eyelash extension appointment, conduct a patch test with adhesive to identify any adverse reactions or allergies that could arise from its application to skin inconspicuously and monitor for any reactions for 24-48 hours.
Select Reputable Technicians
Opt for an experienced and renowned lash technician who uses superior products in an uncluttered workspace with proper ventilation. A knowledgeable lash technician should pay special attention to ensuring comfort and safety during each procedure.
Communicate Your Needs
Communicate your pregnancy and any specific concerns with your lash technician so they can make appropriate adjustments, such as providing extra breaks during the procedure or offering additional support for added comfort.
Investigate Natural Solutions
Suppose you're concerned about the safety of eyelash extension adhesive. Natural alternatives, such as a lash lift or tint, may provide an option to enhance your appearance without resorting to extensions.
FINAL thoughts on is eyelash extension glue safe when pregnant
Is eyelash extension glue safe when pregnant? While cyanoacrylate-based adhesives may be safe for cosmetic use, caution must be exercised during this phase. To make an educated decision, speak to your healthcare provider, conduct a patch test, and select a good technician who can accommodate all your specific needs and covers.
No matter which route you take for eyelash extensions during pregnancy, your health and your unborn baby must always come first. If any doubts or uncertainties arise regarding these beauty treatments, alternative solutions provide more enhancement without risk.

What is Lash Adhesive? Everything Lash Artists Need to Know
December 5, 2023 by The Lash Professional.
Let’s get real—lash extensions wouldn’t be the magic they are without one key ingredient: lash adhesive. If you’re a lash tech (or thinking about becoming one), you’ve probably heard about lash adhesive, but do you really know what it’s all about?
As a lash artist I’ve had my fair share of trial and error when it comes to finding the perfect adhesive. And trust me, understanding how lash adhesive works and why it matters is a total game-changer for your lash career. So, let’s dive into what is lash adhesive, why it’s important, and how to choose the right one for flawless results.
What is Lash Adhesive?
Lash adhesive is a specially formulated glue designed to bond eyelash extensions to your client’s natural lashes. It’s what keeps those beautiful extensions in place, so your clients can flutter their way through life without worrying about their lashes.
But here’s the thing: not all lash adhesives are created equal. The type you choose can impact retention, application time, and even your client’s overall experience.
What Makes Lash Adhesive Different from Regular Glue?
You might be wondering, Can’t I just use regular glue? Absolutely not! Lash adhesive is specifically designed for the delicate area around the eyes.
Here’s what sets it apart:
Fast Drying Time: Lash adhesives dry quickly to speed up your application process.
Flexible Bond: The adhesive moves with the natural lashes to avoid damage.
Long-Lasting Hold: Designed to last through the natural lash cycle.
Sensitive Formulas: Some adhesives are made for clients with sensitive eyes.
How Does Lash Adhesive Work?
Lash adhesive works by creating a chemical bond between the natural lash and the extension. When exposed to air (a process called curing), the adhesive hardens, locking the extension in place.
Pro Tip: Humidity plays a huge role in how your adhesive cures. Make sure your lash room has the right humidity level (usually 40–60%) for optimal performance.
Types of Lash Adhesive
There’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to lash adhesive. Here are the main types to consider:
1. Fast-Drying Adhesive
Best For: Experienced lash artists.
Drying Time: .5–2 seconds.
Why It’s Great: Speeds up application and provides strong retention.
2. Sensitive Adhesive
Best For: Clients with sensitive eyes or allergies.
Drying Time: 3–5 seconds.
Why It’s Great: Gentle formula with less potential for irritation.
How to Choose the Right Lash Adhesive
Choosing the right adhesive can make or break your lash game. Here’s what to consider:
1. Your Skill Level
If you’re a beginner, go for a slower-drying adhesive to give yourself more time to place the extensions.
2. Your Client’s Needs
For clients with sensitive eyes, opt for a gentle formula to avoid irritation.
3. Your Environment
Humidity and temperature can affect how your adhesive cures. Keep a hygrometer in your lash room to monitor conditions and choose an adhesive that works with your setup.
How to Store Lash Adhesive
Proper storage is key to maintaining the quality of your adhesive.
Keep It Cool and Dry: Store your adhesive in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight.
Use a Tight Seal: Make sure the lid is on tight to prevent exposure to air.
Replace Regularly: Once opened, most adhesives have a shelf life of 4–6 weeks.
Common Lash Adhesive Mistakes to Avoid
Even the best adhesive won’t work if you’re making these mistakes:
Using Too Much: A little goes a long way. Overusing adhesive can lead to clumping and discomfort.
Not Shaking the Bottle: Shake your adhesive for at least 30 seconds before each use to ensure even consistency.
Ignoring Humidity Levels: Curing times can vary depending on your environment, so adjust accordingly.

Is Black Lash Glue Better?
Is Black Lash Glue Better?
February 5, 2024 by The Lash Professional.
Let’s talk about one of the most debated topics in the lash world: is black lash glue better? If you’re a lash artist like me, you’ve probably come across both black and clear lash glues and wondered which one reigns supreme.
As a lash artist I’ve worked with all kinds of adhesives. While both black and clear glues have their place in the lash world, understanding when and why to use each one can elevate your lash game. So, let’s break it down—what makes black lash glue so popular, and is it really the better option?
What is Black Lash Glue?
Black lash glue is an eyelash extension adhesive that has a rich, dark pigment. It’s designed to blend seamlessly with lash extensions, giving the lash line a fuller, more defined look.
Unlike clear lash glue, which dries transparent, black glue sets with a bold, dark finish that mimics the effect of eyeliner. It’s a fan favorite among lash techs and clients who love a dramatic look.
Why Lash Artists Love Black Lash Glue
So, is black lash glue better? It depends on what you’re going for! Here’s why black lash glue has earned its loyal fanbase:
1. Seamless Blending
Black glue blends effortlessly with dark lash extensions, creating a flawless, polished finish. It eliminates the need for extra eyeliner or makeup to fill in gaps along the lash line.
2. Enhanced Volume Effect
The dark pigment of black lash glue adds depth to the lash line, making it look thicker and more voluminous. If your client wants a bold, dramatic set, black glue is a must.
3. Precision for Experienced Techs
Black glue is perfect for skilled lash artists who want their sets to look clean and precise. The dark pigment highlights any misplaced extensions, making it easier to refine your work.
4. Long-Lasting Hold
Just like its clear counterpart, black lash glue offers excellent retention when applied correctly. With premium adhesives, like those from The Lash Professional, you can count on strong, lasting bonds.
When to Use Black Lash Glue
While black glue is amazing, it’s not ideal for every situation. Here’s when it shines:
Dramatic Sets: Volume and hybrid lashes look especially stunning with black glue because it enhances the depth and drama of the set.
Dark Lashes: If your client has naturally dark lashes or prefers black extensions, black glue is a seamless choice.
Pros and Cons of Black Lash Glue
Still wondering is black lash glue better? Let’s weigh the pros and cons:
Pros:
-Seamlessly blends with dark lash extensions.
-Enhances the volume and depth of lash sets.
-Ideal for creating bold, dramatic looks.
-Highlights placement for precise applications.
Cons:
-Not ideal for lighter or colored lash sets.
-Can highlight mistakes if not applied carefully.
How to Use Black Lash Glue Like a Pro
If you’re ready to give black glue a try, here are some tips to ensure flawless results:
Prep Your Workspace: Make sure your humidity and temperature levels are optimal for your adhesive. Black glue cures best in environments with 40–60% humidity.
Shake It Up: Shake your glue for at least 30 seconds before use to mix the pigment evenly.
Use Small Amounts: A little goes a long way! Avoid overloading your extensions with glue.
Work Quickly: Black glue has a fast drying time, so place your extensions with precision.
Practice Precision: Use black glue for classic or volume sets when you’re confident in your technique.
Why Choose The Lash Professional’s Adhesives?
At The Lash Professional, we know how important it is to have the right adhesive for every set. That’s why we offer high-quality black and clear adhesives that deliver strong retention, fast drying times, and beautiful results.
Here’s what makes our adhesives a lash tech’s dream:
Superior Retention: Long-lasting hold for happy clients.
Quick Curing: Saves time without sacrificing quality.
Perfect Pigment: Our black glue has a rich, even color that enhances every lash set.
FAQs About Black Lash Glue
1. Is Black Lash Glue Safe for Sensitive Clients?
Black glue is safe for most clients, but those with sensitive eyes may prefer a sensitive clear adhesive. Always perform a patch test for new clients.
2. Can Beginners Use Black Lash Glue?
Black glue dries quickly, so it’s best for experienced lash artists. If you’re just starting out, try a slower-drying adhesive to build your confidence.
3. Does Black Lash Glue Last Longer Than Clear Glue?
Both types of glue offer similar retention when used correctly. The choice depends on the look you’re going for and your client’s preferences.
Final Thoughts on Is Black Lash Glue Better?
So, is black lash glue better? The answer depends on your style, your clients’ needs, and the type of set you’re creating. Black glue is amazing for dramatic, bold looks with dark lashes, while clear glue is better for natural or colorful sets.
Whichever you choose, using high-quality adhesives like those from The Lash Professional will ensure your lash sets are flawless and long-lasting.

Best Lash Extension Glue for Sensitive Eyes - The Lash Professional
Best Lash Extension Glue for Sensitive Eyes
July 27, 2023 by The Lash Professional.
Shopping for new lash extension products can be tricky. And specialty products, such as the best lash extension glue for sensitive eyes, can be the absolute trickiest. However, knowing more about the products and glue you are searching for can help steer you in the right direction. Use this checklist as a guideline to narrow down your search and determine the best lash extension glue for sensitive eyes!
I recently wrote a blog post about client allergic reactions. Start your research by reading it — How to Treat an Allergy to Eyelash Extension Glue!
After reading that post, follow this simple checklist to narrow down your search for the best lash extension glue for sensitive eyes!
What to Look for In Lash Glue for Sensitive Eyes
You want to make sure you have lash extension glue for sensitive eyes because sensitive eyes are common among lash clients. But what should you be looking for when deciding which sensitive eyelash extension glue to buy? We’ve got you covered. There are several factors to look out for when choosing sensitive eyelash glue that we will go over.
Ingredients
Allergies can play a big role in the type of lash glue that can be used on certain clients. Figuring out which ingredients tend to cause reactions doesn’t have to be difficult, though! Let’s go over a couple of the most common ingredients that cause reactions.
Cyanoacrylate
Most people who have a sensitivity to adhesives are sensitive to the ingredient “cyanoacrylate.” Cyanoacrylate is the ingredient in quick bonding glues or “super glues” that speeds up drying time. This ingredient is an irritant, so many people have negative reactions when adhesives high in cyanoacrylate are used.
Carbon Black
There is a possibility, though it is not as common, that you may have a client who is sensitive to the Carbon Black ingredient. The carbon black pigment that gives the lash glue its black coloring can be an allergen for some. A solution to this would be using clear adhesivefor clients who are allergic to Carbon Black.
Ensure you find a product that works best for the client by doing a small test prior to using the new sensitive adhesive for a full service. Apply three to four extensions on each eye (using a similar length and diameter to their natural lash). Allow the sensitive adhesive to stay on for 48 hours before determining whether it is the right product for your client and salon!
For clients who react to ingredients other than these two, record what ingredients in the adhesive are problematic for future reference.
Price
Go into your search with a budget; it can be easy to get a little out of control with online shopping. A predetermined price point will help you avoid overspending and will make re-purchasing this product a possibility for the future. Price is an essential factor to consider because you want to find a great sensitive eyelash extension glue that is high quality and cost-effective. You may go through bottles quickly, depending on your clientele, so finding an affordable product is a must.
So, what is a good price for adhesive? A quick research can tell you the answer! Lash extension glue for sensitive eyes can range anywhere between $30 to $90 per 5ML bottle. Sensitive adhesives are generally slightly more expensive as regular adhesives.
Make sure the price is appropriate for the size of the product; some websites disguise the size of their products. For a 5ml bottle of sensitive eyelash glue, we recommend going for something in the middle of the price range. Adhesives in the $37 to $55 range are generally high-quality products from trustworthy brands. However, the most important part is to do your research on the brand you are considering buying from. High prices don’t automatically equal high-quality products.
Bottle Size
One thing you might not think about is what sized bottle of sensitive eyelash glue to get for your lash business. It’s important for you to consider how many clients you will need to use this special adhesive on when buying a bottle.
So, depending on your clientele, it’s best not to go crazy buying too many bottles of this specialty glue. To prevent wasting product, only keep what you need on hand.
Reviews
Reviews are so, so, so important! Yes, they are THAT important. Check the reviews of a product or company before buying. Not all companies will display product reviews specifically, but nearly every product will have reviews somewhere.
Companies tend to record and display their “good” reviews on their website, but look deeper than that. Google is a great source for unbiased reviews. Search the brand and product you are looking at and add the word “review” at the end of the search. Or, simply search “best eyelash extension glue for sensitive eyes reviews.” Reviews for sensitive eyelash extension glues are bound to come up for you to peruse!
Use customers’ honest reviews to see if people liked the product you’re considering for your business. If you see lots of negative reviews about reactions still happening from the product, steer clear. Look for products that have a high percentage of good reviews and include customer photos. Finding a company that has great reviews, as well as loyal customers, will ensure you are choosing the right product for your business and your clients! It may take a little bit to find the right product, but it’s worth the time spent.

The Lash Professional’s Sensitive Adhesive
Okay, now that I have walked you through a shopping checklist to find the best lash extension glue for sensitive eyes, I’m going to tell you why I think The Lash Professionals Sensitive Adhesive is THE BEST.
Let’s talk about the first item on your checklist: Ingredients.
The Lash Professional’s N5 Sensitive Eyelash Glue contains low amounts of cyanoacrylate. As I mentioned above, this ingredient is the most common cause of an allergic reaction. It is also the ingredient that creates a rapid and quick drying time! By lessening the cyanoacrylate, the glue’s drying time merely increases by seconds — yep, that’s all! By lowering the concentration of this ingredient significantly, we have found that clients with a sensitivity to it are able to enjoy lash extensions reaction-free!
The next item on your checklist: Price.
This sensitive adhesive is priced the same as their Pro Adhesive. At $39, The Lash Professional’s Sensitive Adhesive has a price point that makes it affordable to order again and again! I would know because I have. With such a low price, I am able to keep a few of these 5ml bottles stocked in my salon at all times.
On to the next checklist item: Bottle Size.
The Lash Professional’s sensitive adhesive glue comes in conveniently-sized 5ml bottles. These bottles are small enough to ensure you won’t waste any product. Buying multiple is the way to go if you have enough clients to get through the bottle before the shelf life expires.
Now for the “so, so, so” important item on the list: Reviews.
The Lash Professional maintains a 5-star Google rating and continues to receive kind words and reviews from tons of lash artists! Though The Lash Professional does display some of our wonderful reviews on our website, we don’t have a single negative review on any platform! What more can you ask for?!
I’ve done some research for you… that’s because I am a devoted customer, ambassador, and employee of The Lash Professional. Yes, I have tried other products, and nothing beats the quality of The Lash Professional. I have been able to see, firsthand, how amazing these products are and have had so many success stories using this sensitive adhesive.
I would, however, urge you to do your own research! I’ve only done part of the job for you. Make sure to follow up with more research to ensure The Lash Professional’s Sensitive Adhesive is right for you, your business, and your clients.
Eyelash Extension Glue Ingredients: What’s in Our Adhesive?
Eyelash Extension Glue Ingredients: What’s in Our Adhesive?
March 5, 2018 by The Lash Professional.
It is oh so important to know what’s in the products you use and to feel confident and comfortable using them on your clients! It is also pretty cool to sound like a scientist when you know what each individual ingredient does! Let’s break down eyelash extension glue ingredients and talk about what’s in our adhesive (The Lash Professionals Pro Adhesive)!
Our Professional Lash Adhesive is perfect for both volume and classic lashes. Its .5 second bond time provides an instant, almost magnetic hold! But how? Well… Lets take a look at each ingredient to find out!
Methyl and ethyl are two chemistry terms that you can refer back to as you read. Ethyl and methyl are always attached to another word and merely describe the amount of carbon atoms in a compound:
- Meth = 1 carbon atom
- Eth = 2 carbon atoms
Meth means one, as in there is one carbon atom in a compound beginning with methyl. Eth means two, as in there are two carbon atoms in a compound beginning with ethyl.
Ethyl Cyanoacrylate in Lash Adhesive
Now that you know what ethyl means, let’s talk about the big scary word: Cyanoacrylate. It is pronounced SIGH-UH-NO-CRY-LATE. Now that the hardest part is out of the way, we can break down what the heck it means! It actually breaks down into two words: cyanide and acrylate.
- Cyanide is a carbon atom that has been (triple) bonded to a nitrogen atom. Simple enough, right? Cyanide, alone, can be incredibly dangerous, but it is necessary in this ingredient as a thickening agent. It is important merely for manufacturing purposes but isn’t present at all in the bottled adhesive. Phew!
- Acrylate is derived from acrylic acid. Acrylic acid is an organic acid that quickly self-polymerizes (hardens or thickens) when exposed to air.
What does it all mean? It means acrylate is combined with cyanide to create what we call a cyanoacrylate. It is a quick self-hardening solution. Cyanoacrylates are used in just about any form of quick drying adhesives and are biodegradable. The ingredient in our Pro Adhesive, ethyl cyanoacrylate, has two carbon atoms and is the ingredient that causes the adhesive to bond and hold almost instantly.
Poly (Methyl Methacrylate) in Lash Adhesive
This ingredient breaks down into 3 parts:
- Polymerization
- Methyl
- Acrylate
When you understand those three things, you will be able to easily understand the ingredient. We have touched on all three already, but lets go over them again. To polymerize means to harden. Methyl means one carbon atom. Acrylate is a self-polymerizing (hardening) substance. Put all three together and you have a polymerized version of acrylate containing one carbon atom! Why is this important for adhesive? Because it makes the bond strong! Poly (methyl methacryliate) is another hardening agent used to reinforce and strengthen the ethyl cyanoacrylate. The ethyl cyanoacrylate creates a quick bond, poly (methyl methacrylate) creates a strong bond. Together, it’s an unbreakable bond! (Just kidding, our remover will break it but we can get into that another time!)
Hydroquinone in Lash Adhesive
I know, another scary word. Say it with me HIGH-DRO-QUEEEEEEEEEE-KNOWN; Hydroquinone. Hydro can be very simply broken down; it means hydrogen, go figure. Hydroquinone, as a whole however, is pretty difficult to break down in one blog post, so I will do my best by calling it a stabilizer. Its mere purpose in adhesive is to stabilize the polymerization (hardening) of the other ingredients. Without this ingredient, your adhesive would not last! It would quickly harden inside the adhesive bottle.
Carbon Black in Lash Adhesive
Yep, the last ingredient. Carbon Black is used not only as a reinforcing agent, but as a pigment! Its name says it all… This ingredient is what gives our adhesive its deep, dark, lash-like color!
Put all of these components together and The Lash Professionals Pro Eyelash Extension Glue is a quick-bonding, strong-bonding, long-lasting, and WONDERFUL ADHESIVE!
I hope this will help guide you through your journey of learning all about eyelash extension glue! An entire chemistry class would be necessary to completely understand the ins and outs of eyelash extension glue ingredients. This will, however, give you a general knowledge and break down of what you are using on your clients.
Black Eyelash Glue vs Clear Lash Glue - The Lash Professional
Black Eyelash Glue vs Clear Lash Glue: Which One is Right for You?
December 26, 2018 by The Lash Professional.
Let’s chat about one of the big questions every lash artist asks at some point: Black eyelash glue vs clear lash glue—what’s the difference, and which one should you use?
As a lash artist I’ve had my hands on both types of glue, and let me tell you, there’s no one-size-fits-all answer. Each type has its strengths and ideal uses, so knowing when to reach for black or clear glue can seriously elevate your lash sets.
If you’ve ever been torn between these two adhesive options, this guide is for you. Let’s break down the pros, cons, and best uses for black and clear lash glue, so you can make the right choice for every client.
What’s the Difference Between Black Eyelash Glue and Clear Lash Glue?
At their core, both black and clear lash glue are designed to do the same thing: bond lash extensions to your client’s natural lashes. The difference lies in their appearance and how they perform during and after the application.
Black Eyelash Glue
Appearance: Dries black, creating a bold, eyeliner-like effect.
Best For: Dramatic lash sets like volume or hybrid styles.
Vibe: Adds depth and definition, perfect for clients who love a glam look.
Clear Lash Glue
Appearance: Dries clear, making it invisible.
Best For: Natural lash sets or when working with lighter-colored lashes or colored extensions.
Vibe: Subtle and seamless, ideal for a soft, no-makeup look.
When to Use Black Eyelash Glue
Black glue is a staple for lash artists who want to create bold, statement-making lash sets. Here’s when it shines:
1. Dramatic Styles
If your client is going for volume or hybrid lashes, black glue enhances the depth and thickness of the lash line, making the set look fuller and more dramatic.
2. Dark Lash Extensions
Black glue blends seamlessly with dark lash extensions, creating a flawless finish without the need for extra eyeliner or touch-ups.
When to Use Clear Lash Glue
Clear glue is all about subtlety and versatility. Here’s when it’s the MVP:
1. Natural Looks
Clear glue is perfect for classic lash sets or clients who want a soft, natural look. It’s also great for blending with lighter-colored lashes.
2. Colored Extensions
If you’re working with bold, colorful extensions, clear glue won’t distract or clash with the colors.
3. Clients with Sensitive Eyes
Some clear adhesives are formulated to be gentler, making them a good choice for clients with sensitive eyes or allergies.
Pro Tip: Use clear glue when the focus is on the lashes themselves, not the lash line.
Black Eyelash Glue vs Clear Lash Glue: Pros and Cons
Let’s break it down even further.
Black Eyelash Glue
Pros:
Enhances the lash line with a bold, defined look.
Perfect for dramatic sets like volume and hybrid lashes.
Blends seamlessly with dark extensions.
Cons:
Not ideal for lighter or colored lash sets.
Dries quickly, which can be tricky for beginners.
Can highlight mistakes if placement isn’t precise.
Clear Lash Glue
Pros:
Invisible finish, great for natural or colorful lash sets.
Versatile and works with all lash colors.
Often gentler on sensitive eyes.
Cons:
Doesn’t add depth to the lash line.
Requires extra care to avoid visible residue.

What to Look for in a Lash Adhesive
What to Look for in a Lash Adhesive
September 13, 2019 by The Lash Professional.
The most important thing to look for when shopping for adhesive a brand with a range of options. There are so many reasons why having a range of different adhesives is important and I'm about to lay it all out for you, along with some handy-dandy links that will take you straight to products.
Things to keep an eye out for when shopping for eyelash extension adhesive
A lot of clients have sensitive eyes, and some even build up an intolerance for lash glues. Usually, sensitive glues have a slower dry-time, because clients are allergic to the bonding agent which makes glue dry quickly. So, the slower the dry-time, the less bonding agent in the adhesive. If this sounds like your client, be sure to have a sensitive option on hand. We tend to get calls from clients trying to buy sensitive glue to bring to their lash artists, so take that initiative to invest in adhesive so your client doesn't have to!
Another great adhesive to have in your toolbox is clear adhesive. Some clients have a sensitivity or allergy to the carbon black ingredient in black glues, so sensitive adhesive with this ingredient isn't right for them. However, you can get around this by tossing out the carbon black ingredient all together and investing in a clear glue. Most clear glues have the same dry time as a pro glue, which is .5 seconds to 1 second.
The Lash Professional Invisa-Bond
Last but not least, a good brand is one that caters to a lash artist's skill level as well as a client's needs. The quicker drying glues will be for more advanced lash artists, while the glues with a longer dry-time are for those who are less experienced. However, a good lash artist can adapt to any glue necessary. For example, different glues are better for different humidity levels (the product description will almost always detail this for you), so if you're a lash artist going between Arizona and Florida, you should be versed in glues with different dry-times. However, you can't jump into the deep end right away, so start with a glue with a slower dry-time if you're new to lashes.

First, let’s get something straight; your creative application doesn’t matter if you’re using subpar lashing tools.
Tweezers, lashes, glue—they should all be top quality.
We’re sure you’ve seen the pictures—because we’ve seen them too—of less than happy lash clients with droopy lashes, allergic reactions, and painfully red eyes due to low-quality glue.
Not only is this bad for business, but it’s horrible client care.

With that said, we’ve done the hard work for you. The following lash glues are lash professional approved and perfect for your lashing clients.
Black Eyelash AdhesivE
When it comes to types of eyelash adhesives, the most common one you’ll find is black eyelash glue.
Most of the aspiring lash ladies who walk in your door have dark eyelashes. So, the best eyelash glue to use with them is one that blends in with their natural lashes.
Black eyelash glue is an excellent choice for clients with dark lashes who want bold looks that blend in with their natural lashes.
At The Lash Professional, we have several choices for you to check out when looking for the best black eyelash adhesive:
- N1 Eyelash Adhesive (1 second drying time with an 8-week hold, 5ml)
- N3 Eyelash Adhesive (3 second drying time with a 6-week hold, 5ml)
The N1 Eyelash Adhesive dries quickly, which is perfect for giving a client a stunning look in record time. Plus, the N1 Eyelash Adhesive keeps lashes on for 8 weeks for long-lasting lash looks.
The N3 Eyelash Adhesive is a black eyelash glue that has a slightly longer drying time of 3 seconds. This is a good choice for lash artists who are just starting. With slower drying time, you can make easy corrections to lashes if they don’t bond correctly.
Clear Eyelash Adhesive
While clear eyelash glue is less commonly used, it can still be a great ace up your sleeve when making good looking lashes for every client.
So, if black eyelash glue is perfect is clients with dark lashes, then when is clear eyelash glue the best choice?
Clear eyelash glue is your go-to adhesive for clients with light-colored lashes. Additionally, a client with brown eyelashes may need clear glue to help lashes blend.
Here at The Lash Professional, we have our Invisa-bond Clear Eyelash Adhesive, which is perfect for clients who are allergic to black carbon or lighter colored lashes!
The Invisa-bond Clear Eyelash Adhesive has a quick 1 second drying time and promises weeks of lash retention.
